Give your front door a little bit of holiday cheer whether you are in an apartment, dorm room, or house with these cute DIY welcome mats. Thanks to Young House Love for this lovely, creative, and fun idea!

This is such a great idea for your personal front door or for a gift for a roomie, friend, or family member. It's so inexpensive and only takes about 10 or so minutes of your time, but the end product is wonderful! All you need is...
- a cheap, plain welcome mat like the one seen above
- painters tape
- scissors
- spray paint in any holiday color of your choice
First, map out the design that you want to have on your mat. Sherry and John from Young House Love did a cute little reindeer head and then also did a snowflake design. Cut pieces of the painters tape and fill in the shape that you do not want to be painted (look at photo above). Make sure that you press the tape down so that there are no bubbles that the paint can seep under. Now, just grab your spray paint and go at it. Make sure that you get good, even coverage over your whole mat. Let it dry and then remove the tape. You should have an end result just as cute as the one below by Sherry and John!
