Something Big

Something really really big and exciting happened this past weekend. Any guesses? 

Yup! I graduated from Memphis College of Art! With honors, no less. I received a Bachelors of Fine Arts with a concentration in Painting and a minor in Art History.

And, just for any curious folks that might be wondering if my graduating means the end of Just Flew the Coop, no worries! I plan on keeping this blog for a very long time and hopefully imparting my college life and dorm decor wisdom on many undergrads to come. This blog is my baby that I dreamed up and created right after my freshman year of college. We have been together for a while, so I, in no way, plan on giving it up now. If anything this blog will just get better!

I graduated alongside my boyfriend (in the middle) and best friends (on the left). It was so special getting to celebrate this exciting day with friends who went along on the journey with me. We all stuck it out through all the final projects and exams, all nighters, and stressful classes and made it through with flying colors.

And, of course, my lovely parents were there for it all! I think they were pretty proud. However, I owe it all to them!
