I have a HUGE surprise! I have been working on a really big project since this past December and have finally finished. Perch is my new online home decor boutique ! It officially opened for business this past Saturday.

IT ALL BEGAN WITH A COLLEGE GIRL, A BLOG, AND A BIG IDEA.
Jesse always had a knack for home decor and a love for unique, creative style. After nearly three years of running the college decor and lifestyle blog, Just Flew The Coop, Jesse dreamed of opening an online home decor boutique.
This idea did not just develop overnight. In 2008, Jesse was getting ready to move into her first college dorm room. She wanted to decorate her space with big style on a small student budget. However, as she scoured what felt like every online and brick-and-mortar store, she never found anything that was unique, trendy, or fit her lifestyle and budget. Every time she moved to a new dorm room or apartment over the next few years, she ran into the same problem. During her years of blogging on Just Flew The Coop, she had many friends and readers ask her for assistance in finding stores that sold home decor geared towards their style. Jesse sometimes joked about solving the issue by simply opening her own home decor boutique that would sell merchandise selected specifically for fellow college students, young 20-somethings and beyond.
In 2012, she put pen to paper... er... mouse to computer screen and began to turn that dream into reality. At the time, Jesse was in the process of finishing her senior year in college. She squeezed in countless hours of research and work in between classes, all nighters, finals, and final projects. After she was graduated from Memphis College of Art with a BFA in Painting in May 2012, she focused ALL of her efforts into creating Perch.
Finally, in July of 2012 Perch opened to the public! Jesse's goal is to bring some of the most fun and trendy selections of home decor to her customers, always at affordable prices. She takes great pride in her ever-changing, carefully curated merchandise and wants to bring her customers only the best. Chances are you will never have the same decor as your next door neighbors or suite mates. She develops friendships and works alongside creative individuals and artists to create and select custom products for Perch shoppers.
Everyone who visits Perch is a friend to Jesse. She wants every single customer to feel special and comfortable while flipping though the virtual pages of Perch. Most importantly, Jesse wants all of her merchandise to bring love and joy into the dorm rooms, apartments, and homes of those who shop here.
