Some of you might already know, but I recently GOT A CONDO! Yup! A place to officially call my own. And I am absolutely head over heels in love with it! Honestly, it checks off everything on the list that I want in a home. Plus, it is in my absolute favorite part of Memphis. I can see myself walking down the street to my favorite cafe to meet friends or simply going across the street to see a play at the community theatre. *sigh*
One big thing that I love about my new place is that it is a fixer upper. I have always dreamed of doing renovations to my home to make it 100% me! I am ripping out and replacing flooring, painting every single wall and cabinet, and replacing all kinds of other odds and ends. There is a lot to be done, but since getting the keys only a few weeks back we have already done so much! I will spend more time later explaining all the things that need to be done and what we have already accomplished, but for now I wanted to give you a tour of the place. These photos are from the day that I got the keys.
This is the gorgeous and spacious living room to the right with the sliding glass doors. The dining room is open to the living room and is to the left.
These double doors lead into the kitchen. The layout of the kitchen is kind of T shaped with a skinny hallway that opens up on either side at the end. There is a very large pantry in the kitchen as well! Just remember that I am doing a big makeover on this place, so everything about this kitchen will change.
The guest bedroom. The light didn't work in here, which is why it is so dark. That nasty carpet has got to go!
This master bedroom has so much potential! The walls and trim desperately need to be painted and that tile floor needs to come up!
The master bedroom also has an awesome sliding glass door that goes out to the patio. I can't wait to landscape out there, so that the view is pretty.
I was standing in the corner of the patio, against the fence to take this one. Here you can see the living room doors (far left), guest room window (middle), and the master bedroom doors (far right). This patio really needs to be cleaned up and re landscaped eventually. However, this will make such a great place to hang out with friends when the weather is good!

Master walk in closet.
This is the third bedroom/bonus room that I am actually going to turn into my art studio! That room that you see through those doors will be redone into a laundry and utility room.
This picture was taken when walking out from the living room onto the patio.

So, there you have it. My new place! What do you think so far?

Oh there is a lot of potential! I love entering a empty apartment, it gets me so many ideas and images in front of my eye - that´s the best part of it, don´t you think?!
Can´t wait what designs you´ll come up with!
xo
So where is the burrito microwave? Can't wait to see the end results!
